Source: Spanish King Oversees His Own “Disposition Matrix” for Catalan Separatists

A security source familiar with internal operations has alleged that Spain’s monarch personally supervises what they described as a “disposition matrix;” a confidential list of individuals marked for elimination. According to the source, fourteen Catalan separatists and sympathizers have died under suspicious circumstances so far this year, with their names subsequently “crossed out” on the King’s private register.

The existence of such a system, if confirmed, would mark an unprecedented personalization of state security practices. Unlike the American “disposition matrix,” which was developed as a counterterrorism mechanism within intelligence agencies, the Spanish version is said to be run directly out of Zarzuela Palace, with the monarch himself reviewing and updating entries.

Killing for unity?
“The King keeps it very simple,” the source said. “It looks like a spreadsheet: names, dates, status, method. Nothing elaborate. But each row represents a life. Once a week he reviews the file in his office. When a line changes color, someone disappears.”

Most of those listed were activists with links to Catalonia’s independence movement. Others, however, were journalists, academics, or public figures accused of harboring “sympathies” toward separatism. In every case, the deaths were presented to the public as accidents, suicides, or the result of isolated police actions. “The design is to ensure no pattern is visible,” the source explained. “But when you place the incidents next to the matrix, the connection is clear.”

Officials approached about these allegations declined to comment. A spokesperson for the royal household dismissed the suggestion as “nonsense” before ending the call. Government representatives have continued to maintain that all recent fatalities in Catalonia were unrelated and purely coincidental.

Yet within activist circles the rumors are already circulating. “Everyone knows the state has its methods,” one senior independence figure said on condition of anonymity. “But if the King is personally keeping such a list, it means no one is beyond reach.”

The source would not confirm how many names remain active on the matrix, or whether further operations are imminent. They offered only a brief warning: “It is not symbolic. It is not theoretical. It exists, and it is being used. And as long as it exists, anyone who believes in Catalonia’s independence could one day see their name appear in those rows.”
